Walk for Water 2026 (The Samburu Project)

THE WALK Walk for Water is back in the South Bay! On April 25, TSP invites our Southern California community to join us at Vista Elementary in Hermosa Beach for the kickoff of our 2026 event. Check-In will open at 9AM for participants to pick up their shirts, fuel up with snacks, create inspiring signs, and hear some pre-walk motivation. Then, we walk! The route will take walkers from the school, to the strand and along the water, raising awareness for conservation and trans global access to clean water. THE WHY In Samburu, Kenya, women and girls walk miles every day to collect water - often unsafe water - just to meet their families’ basic needs. This long journey rob them of their time, education, and health. Walk for Water welcomes kids and adults of all ages to take meaningful steps toward ending this global water crisis. Every step taken helps bring life saving, sustainable, clean water to communities in Samburu, empowering women, restoring time, and transforming lives. CELEBRATE THE IMPACT After crossing the finish line, walkers will enjoy a well-earned post-walk breakfast, silent auction, games, shopping, and more as we celebrate the impact we’ve made - together. *The 2026 South Bay Walk for Water is a peer-to-peer fundraising event. All walkers are encouraged to raise a minimum of $100 from their friends and family to sponsor their hike and support The Samburu Project’s mission to provide clean water to vulnerable communities in central Kenya.*
