Town Hall Los Angeles presents Mayor Eric Garcetti on "Jobs & Economic Development: A First-Year Perspective"
Mayor Garcetti will be in conversation with Patt Morrison, Columnist, Los Angeles Times.
In his first year as Los Angeles' Mayor, the Honorable Eric Garcetti talks about jobs and his economic development initiatives. Mayor Garcetti's goals are to create 20,000 jobs, provide job training that connects skilled workers with hiring employers, and cut governmental red tape to make doing business in Los Angeles easier. In a city that is facing a significant budget shortfall driven by rising pension and health benefit costs, will Mayor Garcetti be able to work with businesses, unions, and community stakeholders to create new jobs and invigorate the economy?
