Free Family Fun
Whittier, CA - Join the Sanitation Districts on Saturday, April 14 for Earth Day 2012, an event that features fun and educational activities for all ages.  
Tour a water reclamation plant and/or landfill, take a train ride that follows the journey of your trash from home to recycling center to landfill, attend gardening and composting workshops, create eco-friendly arts and crafts, and participate in many other activities while learning about environmental issues.
Furthermore, over 50 exhibitors will be present to provide information and demonstrations on ways to help protect the planet. Earth Day 2012 will be held from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Sanitation Districts' Administrative Office Parking Lot, located at 1955 Workman Mill Road in Whittier. 
Event parking with shuttle service will be located at 13181/13191 Crossroads Parkway North. The event is free and over 3,000 people are expected to attend. For more information about Earth Day 2011, please visit www.lacsd.org .
