Join hundreds of Beach Cities residents along with Dan Buettner, National Geographic explorer and best-selling author of the book The Blue Zones, and Goldie Hawn, award winning actress and founder of The Hawn Foundation, as we rally to become the world’s first Blue Zones Community

The organization that shows the most spirit wins $500 BEACH CITIES: Becoming the World’s First Blue Zones Community™ To become a Blue Zones Community™, six community sectors must pledge and then act on their specific responsibilities.    As this project expands across the country to Iowa this year, at least 10 cities will also be vying for this honor and distinction.

Of course the Beach Cities are in a prime position to achieve certification.   We recognize the economic and social value this achievement will bring to our community, in addition to the benefits of living in a place where well-being is a way of life.
