A plaque honoring him\, for what is recognized by many as the worlds first commercial surfboard shop\, will be installed on the northeast corner of Manhattan Beach Blvd. and Ocean Drive. \n\n\n\nAt the event\, there will be an open microphone signup list for people to share their memories of Dale Velzy\, kicked off by the one and only Bing Copeland. \n\n\n\nNo ticket reservations are necessary- all are welcome!
