How long have you been a Chamber member? Manhattan Beach Toyota has been a member of the Hermosa Beach Chamber for nine years. 
 
When did you start your business? The dealership came under the current ownership in 2007.
 
What is your business all about? Manhattan Beach Toyota is about consistently exceeding customers' expectations by providing truly exceptional buying and maintenance experiences. The Manhattan Beach Toyota team strives to create a positive and respectful work environment for employees. 

What makes your business unique? The fact that the business is family-owned and the family lives in the South Bay is unique among dealerships. Furthermore, that lends to special attention towards community efforts, such as providing school, student and other charitable support and giving guests one-on-one attention. 

How long have you been in business? The business on Sepulveda has been a dealership for several decades. It has been Manhattan Beach Toyota and under current ownership for over 10 years. 
 
How big is your staff? The dealership has 120 employees. 

How has your field changed since your business started? The popularity and accessibility of hybrid vehicles and alternative-fuel vehicles has grown exponentially in the past 10 years. With the growth of the internet and smart phones, customers who visit Manhattan Beach Toyota have researched and shopped for their ideal vehicle and price before stepping foot inside the dealership. Years ago, a buyer would visit as many as six dealerships before purchasing. Today that number is less than half. 

What are the plans for your business' future? Manhattan Beach Toyota plans to continue to provide excellent products and customer service and become even more efficient for guests by adding new technology to the various touch points throughout the dealership.

What is your most memorable moment with this business? In recent history, it is the pride of opening a new building after months of construction. 

What’s the best thing about having a business near Hermosa? It is a small and niche city with a great community that cares about preserving its way of life and heritage. 

What trends or insights are you finding in your field or market? The L.A. market is on fire for Toyota. Drivers love the economy, safety and reliability of Toyota models.  
 
What do you enjoy most about being a Hermosa Beach Chamber member? The dealership enjoys being part of the Hermosa Beach Chamber because it provides great opportunities for connecting with business leaders and their products. The membership gives us the ability to have a relationship with the City on a deeper level. 

When you’re not working, where in Hermosa do you like to spend your time? At the beach, of course!
