DESCRIPTION:On April 16\, 2016\, Friends of the Parks will partner with the city of Hermosa Beach & the Parks and Recreation Commission to host Pets in The Park @ Valley Park for the South Bay residents\, children and their beloved companions.\n\nFriends of the Parks will sponsor a Blessing of the Animals\, lead a Canine Costume Parade\, hold a Pet Tricks contest\, and offer Face Painting and a kid's Arts and Crafts table.  Pet Adoptions will be available. City staff and the Parks & Rec Commission will sponsor an information table to encourage the community to learn "PETiquette" - educating humans and their pets about local regulations\, offer Onsite Pet Licensing and share tips to better co-exist in our small city. \n\nWe invite you to join us as a sponsor for this unique "pet-centric" community fair. We encourage all local vet clinics\, pet supply stores and neighborhood shops to participate and showcase products & services.  As we work on finalizing the Saturday\, April 16th details\, we want you to be aware of the opportunity and confirm participation as soon as possible. We want to begin publicizing the event through local media\, city & school websites and organization communication. Friends of the Parks is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit foundation. Moneys raised from this event will be used to beautify Hermosa parks and support local programs that benefit the community.
