DESCRIPTION:Join Strides in Recovery\, an LA based nonprofit\, for the 4th Annual Palos Verdes Trail 5K at Ernie Howlett Park. This scenic trail run/walk offers the natural beauty of the Palos Verdes horse trails\, shaded eucalyptus groves\, and gently rolling hills. Participants of all ages and fitness levels are welcome. You can register on the website. Your registration includes a premium race t-shirt\, custom finished medal\, chip-timed results\, music by a DJ\, raffle prizes\, and access to the vendor expo. Awards will be given for each age division. Proceeds support Strides in Recovery\, a local nonprofit helping people in treatment programs strengthen their recovery through goal-oriented running and walking clubs. Event day also features a shoe donation drive (bring new or gently used running shoes for participants in need) and special perks for team sign-ups. A virtual option is available for those unable to attend in person. Packet pickup and onsite registration begin at 6:30 AM. Runners start at 8:00 AM\; walkers being at 8:10 AM.
