DESCRIPTION:The Sand & Strand Run is now celebrating its 58th year and is the second longest continuous running race in Los Angeles County. This run boasts community appeal with its course design 55% Sand and 45% Strand. Come run the 2.5 mile loop around Hermosa Beach\, or two loops for the 5.0 mile\, or both\, for a great workout! \n \n\n\n\n\nSchedule of Events: \n \n\n \n6:30 AM - On-site Registration \n \n\n \n8:00 AM - 2.5 Mile Run \n \n\n  \n9:30 AM - 5.0 Mile Run \n \n\n \n10:30 AM - Kids Mini runs Under 6 - 50 Meters \n \n\n \n10:45 AM 6-8 Age 100 Meters \n \n\n  \n11:00 AM 9-10 Age 200 Meters \n \n\n \n\n\n\nAwards:  \n \n\n \n- Run numbers and t-shirts can be picked up at the check-in area before your run. (Arrive early\n \nand warm up!) \n \n\n \n- 1st-3rd place medals are given after the 2.5 & 5 mile runs for all male and female age divisions. \n \n\n \n- All runners 10 and under will receive a finish ribbon and t-shirt regardless of place result. \n \n\n \n- Sand King/Queen Division—Awards in combined 2.5 and 5.0 Mile Runs based on each run's individual overall finish. For example\, a seventh place finish in the 2.5 Mile Run\, followed by a tenth place finish in the 5 Mile Run\, would earn a 17 ranking (7th & 10th).
