DESCRIPTION:Join us on Sunday\, February 26th at 3:00pm for a presentation on Japanese American History during World War II with historian Helen Yoshida. Helen will expand upon the history of World War II incarceration through oral history interviews and archival documents about the U.S. Department of Justice\n\ncamps that interned Japanese\, Germans\, Italians\, Japanese Peruvians\, and their children.\n\n\n\nAbout The Speaker: Helen Yoshida\, an oral historian\, works as the Communications Writer at the Japanese American National Museum. She holds a BA in English from the University of California\, Irvine\, and an MA in\n\nHistory\, with a focus on oral history\, from California State University\, Fullerton. Her work has appeared in The Atlantic\, The Oral History Review\, The Southern California Review\, Discover Nikkei\, and the Heart Mountain Wyoming Foundation's magazine\, Kokoro Kara\, among others.
